Every member belongs to a faction
Factions are the competing teams in a season. Each person is on exactly one, so every award has a team it contributes to.
At least two, usually a handful
A season needs two factions to compete. Most teams run two to eight, big enough to feel like a team, small enough that everyone matters.
Named for your culture
Houses, legions, crews, orders, guilds, pick a theme and your factions get names, colors, and descriptions that sound like your company.
Standings reset each season
When a season ends, faction scores reset for the next one, so a strong start never permanently decides the outcome.
How points roll up
The magic is the automatic roll-up: one award counts for a person and their team at the same time.
Someone gives an award
A teammate runs /award in Slack to recognize a colleague, tagged to a company value. The recipient earns points.
Points roll up to their faction
Those points automatically count toward the recipient's faction total, no extra step, no separate tally to maintain.
