Spark and Boom are billed per seat per month in EUR at the prices shown on the pricing page, excluding VAT where it applies.

Who picks Spark vs Boom?

Workspace admins in KaBoon choose the plan for your Slack workspace. Seat count is based on active workspace members, so admins do not need to calculate it manually.

What counts as a seat?

Accepted Answer

A seat is an active member: someone who has actually engaged with KaBoon by giving or receiving recognition, or signing in to the web app. People your admin adds who haven't participated yet stay inactive and aren't billed, so you only pay for members who are really using KaBoon.

Can I add more employees to my account as we grow?

Yes. Billing tracks your number of active members automatically, so new hires can join recognition and leaderboards without a separate signup flow. Seat changes are pro-rated daily, so when someone becomes active mid-cycle you're only charged for the days left in the period, and when someone leaves or is deactivated you're credited the unused time on your next invoice.

How does pro-rated billing work?

Everything is pro-rated to the day. You're billed per active member per month, and any change mid-cycle is split by the number of days remaining in the billing period. Unused time is credited and only the days actually used are charged, with the adjustment appearing on your next invoice.

Can we switch plans later?

Yes. Admins can move between Spark and Boom anytime from workspace billing settings. Switches are pro-rated daily: upgrades credit the unused portion of the current plan and charge the new rate only for the days left in the period, and downgrades work the same way in reverse.

Are prices inclusive of VAT?

Prices are shown excluding VAT. VAT or similar taxes are applied where required; your invoice or checkout flow reflects what applies to your workspace.

Can we cancel anytime?

Yes. Plans are billed monthly with no long-term contract. You can cancel when it suits you through your workspace billing controls.
